Shakhtar’s junior squad’s start in the tournament was stunning – 7:1! Guests from Kryvyy Rig couldn’t offer resistance to Donetsk team. The fate of the match was decided by the 17-th minute when the score was 3:0. Young “miners” led by experienced Oleksiy Polyanskyy and Mykola Ishchenko in the debute of the match rumpled the rival’s defence. Kryvyy Rig team couldn’t keep up with Shakhtar’s forwards.

The home team scored the first goal after the corner kick earned by Maksym Iluk. This combination was effectively finished by Mykola Ishchenko. Soon Yegor Kartushov accurately closed the aimed pass from the right flank. In eight minutes Vitaliy Fedotov played very well, he started and finished a quick attack of his teammates. The scoring pass was given him by Oleksiy Polyanskyy.

At the end of the time Vitaliy Fedotov became the focus of attention again. He successfully assisted Maksym Iluk. The wall turned out excellent. 

At the break a lot of substitutes were made but the character of the game didn’t change. Young “miners” dominated on the field. There was the only question: “How much will they score?”Frankly speaking the game’s result could be even more. We should mark that two balls were scored by experienced Yevhen Seleznov. At the end of the game our footballers relaxed a little and allowed the rival to score. As a result 7:1 – more than persuasive victory won by Shakhtar’s juniors. The start is made!

Our team’s coach Valeriy Yaremchenko was satisfied with quality of his team’s play, but still had some claims:

-Of course I’m satisfied with play and the result. Our youth has worked well. Mykola Ishchenko and Oleksiy Polyanskyy helped us very much. I didn’t like that at the end of the game the team relaxed. It is necessary to play to the end with any rival and by any score.

We should remind that in the second round Shakhtar’s junior squad will play in Mariupol against local Illichivets in a week, on July 24.
