The final score is somewhat deceptive. Of course Shakhtar attacked more and threatened the rival’s goal more frequently. But metallurgists should be done justice. They fought adequately at least till the 80-th minute. Then our team delivered the end!


The first time wasn’t rich in scoring moments. Miners perhaps had three of them. The first two were not realized by Ruslan Fomin. In  the third one he also participated: Fomin wittily missed the ball directed to Vladislav Nasybulin which found himself  face-to -face with the rival’s goalkeeper. Metalurh’s goalkeeper touched our forward and Igor Ishchenko showed the point. The penalty was accurately realized by a newly-made European champion recently become master of sports of international class Igor Chaykovskyy who by the way played with the captain’s band. 1:0.

Before the whistle for the break the score could become equalized. After the standard footballers of Metalurh had to equal the score.

At the 10-th minute of the second time Yegor Kartusov with an excellent kick from the penalty scored the second goal. We should mark that metallurgists fouled on Vladislav Nasybulin. After that the play calmed down. The explosion happened at the 79-th minute. Guests punished junior Shakhtar’s goalkeeper for an odd mistake. 2:1. But the intrigue died being unborn.  Here highly experienced Volodymyr Yezerskyy after playing the penalty calmed both ours and the rival - 3:1. Metallurgists had no strength to change the situation. And our footballers scored twice at the end. As a result 5:1 - a big but quite uneasy victory!

- We conducted a good match. Metalurh looked adequately on the field. At the end of the game the higher level of physical preparedness of my charges affected. I’m glad that after an odd goal we didn’t waver, went on playing our football.
