Valeriy Yaremchenko charges decided not to postpone the action and embodied the first attack against Dnipr reserves into a goal. The hosts were certain to dislike such turn of events. They doubled their powers in attack and established the balance on the 16^th minute. Dmytro Lepa, who has played a lot of games for Dnipr has perfidiously performed a penalty, Shakhtar keeper Vyacheslav Basilevich kicked it off , but, alas, the first to catch it was the Lithuanian defender from Dnipropetrovsk team Linas Klimavichus.

— I am happy with the result. They were playing according to Brazilian principle: “You will score as many as you can and we will score as many as we like”. The clash was good action. Both teams were playing with the emphasis upon attack. We were prevailing in the second half. We scored good goals. We also created a lot of moments to score the third goal and kep the rival quiet.
