Shakhtar reserves finished their final match in 2009 with the same score as the previous ones. Surprising stability! Valeriy yaremchenko even joked it has a beneficial influence upon the first team:

– After our 2:0 the first team always wins. Thus we are “helping” them!
  
The game itself was also like 3 previous ones. The miners were overcoming their rivals creating huge amount of goal scoring opportunities. And wasted them in great quantity. Mariupol team’s head went round because of tsunami created in the centre of the pitch by Oleksiy Polyanskyy, Vitaliy Vytsenets and Vladislav Nasibulin. Maksym Illyuk and Yegor Kartushov, our forwards, drew the guests’ defense mad but their movements and breaks through. All the others were the same. The only question was “How many?”

One goal was scored in each half. Yegor Kartushov excelled in the first one, leaving the rival’s keeper no chance. The penalty shot was organized by Vitaliy Vytsenets and Maksym Illyuk. The first made an aimed pass, the latter wanted to finished it but was stopped by Illyichevets defender in an illegal way. Igor Ishchenko, the referee, appointed penalty without hesitation. 1:0.

Maksym Illyuk managed to score in the second half. The situation was like the previous one but foul didn’t happen this time. 2:0 ― deserved win of Donetsk team!

Valeriy Yaremchenko, who was in a perfect mood, said about the further planes the following:

―We are on holiday since December,14. On January, 8 we are meeting up. I don’t think line-up will change greatly. All changes will take place when the season is over.
