Despite the fact that Donetsk derby ended in favor of their rivals, Metalurh players are optimistic about their future, plotting to retrieve their losses in the upcoming Ukrainian Cup semi-final.

Oleksandr Volovik: 

- Is today’s defeat going to be a good motivating factor for requital in Ukrainian Cup?
- This is a very frustrating defeat, I think we didn’t play bad during the entire game, had some goal scoring opportunities, but missed a stupid and vexatious goal. Of course, it’s quite a motivating factor.

- Means, that notwithstanding the score, you are satisfied with what you did?
- It’s up to the head coach to judge about what my team and I did during the game, but I think we weren’t yielding to our rivals.

- Would you be satisfied with a tie today?
- No, we were in the mood and played to win.

Vladimir Dišljenković:

- Vladimir, what did Metalurh need to play at least a draw?
- I don’t know, I think we played rather well, but we were defeated, although we had some opportunities, take for example the shot on goal. The game needs to be revised and some conclusions should be arrived at. We’ll try overtaking Shakhtar in Cup fixtures.

- You have applied for Ukrainian citizenship…
- Yes, I want to play very much, and this is the reason.

- How did your family take this your decision?
- This was my decision, and my family supported me.

- Does it mean that you are going to stay here until the end of your career?
- My career is not about to end just yet (smiles).
