Before Shakhtar-Metalist game began, the best player of the previous month and the author of the best goal were awarded for the first time. You will learn about how they were chosen in March issue of Shakhtar magazine!

So, Jadson and Douglas Costa got individual prizes for scoring the most impressive goal and being chosen as the hero of the last month of this winter respectively. The former was awarded with a statuette shaped as a goal and a goalkeeper sliding to save but failing to reach for the ball. And Shakhtar rookie received a small cup in a form of a forged metal torch with a figure of a running football player in the center. Both compositions were created by masters of forging plant Gefest.

It is symbolical that it was Gennadiy Zubov who handed the honestly earned prizes. Thus the legendary Shakhtar established a new tradition. From now on such prizes will be awarded before the first home game of every new month.
