After a difficult, but rich in emotions match with Illichivets, Shakhtar players answered the journalists’ questions

Oleksandr Kucher:

- Today you have come on as a substitute. Do you think you successfully have entered the game?
- Dima has got injured. I do not know whether I have successfully blended into the game, it's not for me to decide. The most important thing is that we have won.

- Why did it take so long to break the deadlock?
- The main thing is that we scored and took three points.

Taras Stepanenko:

- Taras, can the score be considered as Illichevets’ merit?
- Of course, it was not easy for them to defend all the time, but the team kept tight to the end! Somewhere we lacked concentration, in other cases, goalkeeper played great.

- You were picked as the best player of the match ...
- I, frankly, did not expect. I have not played so many matches for Shakhtar, so I am very pleased. (Laughs.)

What else special does this game have for you? - If I'm not mistaken, this is my fourth game and third in the first team. The first one was in Zaporozhye where I played timidly, with Karpaty I played better, and in this game I felt much more confident

- Dima, what kind of your injury?
- Blocked a shot and felt a sharp pain. The result is damage in the back of the thigh. It will take two days to be certain whether it is spasm, strain or sprain.

- Mister said that in the case of muscle strain the recovery will take six weeks. Is this the worst option?
- There is a pain. And I feel that perhaps it's not so simple.

- Today there were a lot of untaken opportunities. What prevented from scoring?
- For the umpteenth time we start to play proper when we have already put ourselves in a difficult situation. Our start of the match was sloppy, we allowed the opponent to play on the breaks. I think that we played without being fully concentrated and we did not look aggressive. In the second half our display was much better: we kept on pressing, pressing... and it is good that we won! The fourth game we win 1:0. Something must be done. One ball is enough for the time being. No offense to our previous opponents, but we await more serious outfits further.
