Plaster cast on Chygrynskyy’s foot

The foot of Dmytro Chygrynskyy, the Pitmen’s central defender, has been a highly topical issue lately. This time we would like to mention it due to a positive and even honourable event: yesterday the footballer visited the FC Shakhtar Museum at the Donbass Arena in order to leave an impression of his right foot of size 10.5 (43.5 Ukrainian) on a special plaster of Paris surface. They will later use it to make a mould and the foot’s replica cast in bronze to become the museum exhibit.

“I didn’t expect anything like that,” Dmytro admitted. “That’s a kind of considerable advance confidence given to me. And now I am going to do my best to make a genuine mark in the history of FC Shakhtar to justify that confidence.”

We would like to note that one room at the museum dedicated to the squad’s latest history already has another of Chygrynskyy's personal items on display - his season 2008/09 boots.
