Vyacheslav Shevchuk: We do not split the teams into strong and weak ones

Today, after a short pause in the championship, Shakhtar held an open training session. The players had something to say for the press after long-awaited interviews:

Vasyl Kobin:

- We are going in a good mood to Kyiv. We need to beat Obolon to firmly secure our first place. 

- How principal is Obolon as an opponent for you?
- Now all the teams that come out on the pitch have significant desire to beat Shakhtar. In this regard, Obolon Kyiv are no different from the others. 

- What do you remember from a previous encounter with this team?
- The fact that it was also held in Kyiv and it was a very difficult game. 
The opponent was fighting from the first till the last minute. It was hard but we scored from a penalty kick, the goal by Darijo brought us a victory. 

- What to expect from tomorrow's game?
- Mister said that we were showing a good game, but we were not always successful at the start of the match. As a rule, we pick up our pace in the second half. Unfortunately, the converting is not the best. But if we scored at least in 50% of our goal scoring opportunities, we would win 4-0.

Willian:

- Willian, August proved to be very successful for you. You have become a player of the month and the author of the best goals. Has something special happened?
- No, no. (Smiles) Nothing special has happened. I am always practicing so as to show my best form. When the championship goes down in its normal rhythm and picks up the pace I will be able to score even better goals.

- What goals by your teammates were you mostly impressed with?
- I liked the goals by Moreno and Douglas Costa scored at the Arena in a match against Sevastopol.

- Do you count all your goals?
- I have a press office, which, of course, is following all my achievements.

- Who is your most important critic?
- The main critic, of course, is my father, but the whole family is also watching my game very closely. They do so not for the sake of criticism but in order to help me.

- Whose opinion is more important for you - the fans’ or the football experts’?
- For me it is important to know both the fans’ and the media’s opinion, but only professionals understand what it takes to be a really great player. Specialists know how difficult it is and can appreciate my work.

- What do these awards mean to you?
- Of course, it is important for me, but I perfectly understand that football is a complex game in which you can not rest on the laurels. Every time you need to prove your viability, especially in such crucial games that await us in the Champions League.

  Vyacheslav Shevchuk:

- Slava, have you benefited in some way from the pause between the matchdays of the Ukraine Premier League?
- Yes, of course. We had a friendly match against Rapid Bucharest, thereby efficiently filled the pause.

- In the last three games Shakhtar won with a minimum score of 1-0. What is stopping you from scoring more?
- There are a lot of scoring opportunities but when it comes to converting them – there is a problem starts occurring. We will try to improve on that.

- When it comes to playing with the teams from the bottom of the table, do you have sometimes the feeling: 'We will cruise past them'? 
- We do not split the teams into strong and weak ones. The head coach and the lads take every opponent very seriously.
